Banana logo for comedy festivalThey are doing it again: The Kitchener Waterloo Comedy Festival is bringing us some big, bold and hilarious names in comedy at five venues across Kitchener Waterloo. It’s all happening March 6-8.

The Centre in the Square is the opening night venue for former Kids in the Hall funny man, Scott Thompson; the king of deadpan delivery, Steven Wright; Erica Sigurdson, a regular on CBC’s The Debaters, and Jian Ghomeshi’s comedic sidekick, Elvira Kurt, plus a host of others.

Homegrown show talent: Landry, Rob Bebenek and Tom O’Donnell

Over the festival’s three days, there are nine opportunities to laugh your pants off, including a show featuring three home grown talents: Landry, Rob Bebenek and Tom O’Donnell (representin’ Kitchener and Baden, yo!) There are two late shows that you just know are going to be naughty and fun. And even the kiddos can get in on the comedic action with a family variety show on Saturday afternoon.

Winter has kicked me in the pants – you too maybe? – so why not take the opportunity to watch some talented people work hard to make you laugh – all you have to do is show up and enjoy.

Some shows are sold out so you should get your tickets fast.

  1. Sounds like fun! We could all use a laugh in the middle of this crazy winter.

  2. We sure could. Laughs are a good antidote to winter blues. Thanks for stopping by.
